Summary: Great Way to Save Money
Comment: This is a small, pocket-sized book that you can throw in your purse and take with you. It is full of excellent tips on how to save money so you can pay down your debt, get more "bang" for your buck, and use that extra money not only to improve your quality of life, but the quality of life for others.
One thing I like about Ellie Kay is that to her it's not all about saving money so you can have more stuff. It's about saving money so you have more resources to help others.
Besides all the great money-saving tips, her final chapter focuses on tips to make a difference in the world.
If you are looking for ways to stretch a dollar, A Tip a Day is a great resource.

Summary: Waste of Money
Comment: This book is an absolute waste of money. The layout is confusing, the topics are scattered, and she mentions "God" entirely too much. I was hoping for a book that was to the point, perhaps a compilation of practical money saving tips. Instead I got stories about her family that are completely irrelevant to saving money. Also, many of her suggestions were ridiculous. One topic was called Tips on Saving Electricity and Energy. She lists several tips one of which read "Use blankets for warmth at night. Snuggle your beloved." What kind of advice is that? Seriously, save your money from purchasing this book and put it to better use.

Comment: The tips are great. Short, to the point. Easy to execute. I also liked how they were categorized. You can find tips on subjects such as dry cleaning (like I did after my last bill!)which is in the "Conquering Saks Fifth Avenue: Tips to save on clothing". Or Ellie's tips are conveniently arranged in 12 chapters so you can work on a different category each month.
And it comes in a size just perfect for sticking in your purse during shopping trips.
